Consist primarily of Eardeley's notes and related correspondence, ca. 1912-1946, on members of individual families including: Scofield, Purdy, Brower, Holmes, Higbie (including original photographs, ca. 1870's-1890's), Lounsbery, Abrams, Crofut, Schuyler, Seaman, Chase (including original photographs, ca. 1870's-1890's), and many other families. Also included are copies made by Eardeley of original documents including New York State wills, alphabetical by county, and an index to the Eardeley wills; copies of church records including those of the Baptist Church in Bangall, Dutchess Co., N.Y., and the Presbyterian Church, Yorktown, N.Y.; copies of 1698 and 1790 Staten Island censuses; and copies of legal documents and cemetery inscriptions. Some original documents, including a Stamford church record book, 1747-1846, have been copied for use in the library.
